Gosatomnadzor issued a permit for trial launch of Belarusian NPP's second unit

Gosatomnadzor has allowed the energy launch of the second unit of the Belarusian nuclear power plant, Minsk-Novosti reported. This is a test run of the block.

Now the gradual increase in power at the nuclear power plant begins. Next, they will have to choose three places for the disposal of radioactive waste.

There are no exact dates for the start of construction of the sites yet. However, the first waste disposal point should start working in 2030.

Meetings on the safety of nuclear energy in Belarus will be held in the near future. Now the main elements of the Belarusian legislation correspond to world practice.

By 2025, a neutron reactor will be built in Belarus for the safety of nuclear power plants.
