Hungary and Belarus plan to cooperate in nuclear energy

Hungary and Belarus signed a memorandum of cooperation in the field of nuclear energy in Budapest, Sputnik reported. Turbine of the second power unit was launched at the Belarusian NPP this week.

Hungary plans to build two new power units at the Paks NPP. As expected, VVER-1200 reactors will be installed there. The same type is used at the Belarusian nuclear power plant.

Belarus plans to join the scientific agreement with SCO this year.
