Belarus plans to join the scientific agreement with SCO
Belarus plans to join the agreement between the countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization on scientific and technical cooperation, BelTA reported.
In September 2022, Belarus began the procedure of joining the SCO in order to obtain the status of a full member of the organization. In addition, the Commission approved a program for the implementation of 35 joint scientific and technical projects in 2023-2024.
Belarus will participate in the development of lithium-ion batteries, a control system for medical robots, a complex for early diagnosis of lung cancer, and plant protection products.
In addition, it is planned to open a representative office of the Chinese SCO Technology Transfer Center in Minsk.
In 2024, Belarus will also join two UN councils.
