In April, residents of Belarus sold more currency than bought

In April, individuals in Belarus remained the main sellers of foreign currency. In a month, they sold $116.5 million more than they bought, BelTA writes. We also wrote that Belarus' gold and foreign exchange reserves increased by 2.5% in April.

The total volume of cash and non-cash foreign currency purchased by individuals in April amounted to $616.2 million, sold — $732.8 million.

In April, Belarusian enterprises sold $154.2 million more currency than they bought. The total volume of foreign currency purchased by companies amounted to $2.013 billion, sold — $2.167 billion.
