In Belarus, spending of residents on food was counted
In the first four months of 2023, the average family in the cities of Belarus had 2 thousand Belarusian rubles in the resource every month. Of these, 90% were spent on living, Sputnik reported.
Each family spent an average of 1809 rubles (640 US dollars) every month. Of these, 73% went to consumer spending: food, utilities, clothing and other goods, entertainment. Payment for rental housing is not included in consumer spending.
At the same time, out of 1809 rubles, spending on food amounted to 40% ant to 32% for the purchase of non-food products.
The study also revealed that the financial situation of rural residents is worse. There, the average family has an amount of 1,568 rubles ($560) for monthly expenses.
