In Belarus, the euro fell against the dollar
On the morning of July 12, at the auction of the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange, the euro fell against the dollar, and later became equal. This has not happened for 20 years, CityDog.io writes.
On the morning of July 12, the dollar was worth 2.6356 Belarusian rubles on the Belarusian stock exchange, and the euro fell to 2.6345. Then the course leveled off a little and became one to one.
There has not been a situation when the euro was cheaper than the dollar in Belarusian rubles for 20 years, BELTA writes. Traditionally, the euro was traded more expensive than the US dollar. The exception was 2000, when the dollar became more expensive. However, by 2003, the euro rose again and began to trade more expensive than the dollar.
Recently we wrote that the payment on Visa currency cards from Belarusbank is now being made not in dollars, but in euros.
