International Tennis Federation may allow Belarusians to participate in tournaments

The International Table Tennis Federation may allow Belarusian tennis players to participate in tournaments starting in May, Sputnik reported. To do this, athletes will have to fulfill the conditions of the IOC.

Earlier, a meeting of the International Olympic Committee was held in Lausanne. As a result, international federations were recommended to allow athletes from Belarus who did not support the special operation in Ukraine to participate in tournaments.

ITTF will review the IOC recommendations and consult with other federations to create official guidelines that set out clear conditions for participation for players and support staff with a Russian or Belarusian passport. Then athletes will be able to take part in competitions in May.
