Latvia terminates three agreements with Belarus

Latvia is terminating three agreements with Belarus, Sputnik reported. Among the denounced agreements is the agreement on small border traffic. May we remind you that on December 16, 2022, Lithuania stops issuing tourist visas to Belarusians.

The Latvian Seimas has decided to suspend the agreement between Latvia and Belarus on the simplification of mutual trips of residents of border territories beginning October 10, 2022.

In addition, beginning the same date, two more documents will not be valid: the agreement on mutual assistance in customs matters and the air service agreement.

The chair of the Seimas Commission on Foreign Affairs, Richards Kols, said the Latvian ministries will continue to work on denouncing other bilateral agreements previously concluded with Belarus.
