Minsk brings a third of Belarus' GDP
Minsk accounts for a third of Belarus' GDP and more than half of the wholesale trade turnover. The Deputy Chair of the Minsk City Executive Committee stated this during the international economic cooperation forum dedicated to the 955th anniversary of Minsk, BelTA reported. We remind you that the City Day is celebrated in Minsk on September 10-11.
Almost a third of retail turnover takes place in Minsk. Part of the investments in the fixed capital of the country of Belarus goes here. In addition, the industrial complex of Minsk is represented by more than 200 large and medium-sized enterprises, as well as about 4 thousand small businesses.
Minsk is the largest transport hub, political, economic, cultural and scientific center of Belarus. The city has significant labor, production, scientific and technical potential, developed infrastructure, preferential investment regimes. There is a free economic zone, a city technopark, and a high-tech park in Minsk.
