Minsk exceeded plan to save fuel and energy resources

In the first half of 2022, the indicators of electricity use in Minsk decreased by 2.2%. The plan was to reduce by 1.7%, Minsk-News reported. We recently wrote that Belarus is planning to start developing new minerals.

Boiler and furnace fuel accounts for only 2% of the local fuel and energy resources. Renewable energy sources bring 1.5% of all energy (it was planned to achieve an indicator of 1.2%).

For six months, we managed to save 64.4 thousand tons of conventional fuel, or 58.5% of the annual task. For the whole of 2022, Minsk needs to ensure a 2.1% reduction in energy consumption.
