Minsk took the 312th place among best cities for startups

In the new ranking of cities in the world with the most favorable conditions for the work of startups, Global Startup Ecosystem Index, Minsk took 312th place. The city has dropped by 82 positions compared to 2021. Minsk is the only Belarusian city represented in the ranking, Devby.io reported.

Belarus also dropped by three lines in the list and took the 70th place in the world. In Eastern Europe, Belarus retained the 18th place, and Minsk took the 24th place.

The authors of the rating also note that since 2017 Minsk and Belarus have been losing ground from year to year. However, according to them, the local ecosystem has a large but unrealized potential for the development of startups.

Let us remind you that the level of development of the innovation market in Belarus, as well as the results of creative activity in the country have improved over the year, according to the Global Innovation Index 2022.
