Most labor migrants come to Belarus from Russia and Armenia
In 2022, more than 3.8 thousand residents of the EAEU countries came to work in Belarus. In 2021, there were 5.2 thousand of their migrant workers, Sputnik reported.
The majority of labor migrants are Russian citizens. About three thousands of them came to Belarus. Armenia is in second place with 333 migrants, followed by Kazakhstan (322) and Kyrgyzstan (104).
The majority of citizens of other EAEU countries prefer to work in Minsk and the Grodno region.
In general, the difference for the citizens of the EAEU is that they do not need a special permit to work in Belarus.
Let us remind you that the amendments to the law on obtaining Belarusian citizenship comes into force in July this year.
