New Belarusian cancer vaccine presented
The new antitumor vaccine "Elenagen" is presented in Minsk at a scientific exhibition. It will help to increase the strength of chemotherapy, Sputnik reported.
Research on the vaccine began in 2020. Doctors worked with advanced forms of malignant tumors in breast, stomach and pancreatic cancers. Vaccinated patients underwent chemotherapy well. The vaccine also did not increase the side effects.
Clinical trials of the vaccine have yielded unique results. According to the researchers who worked on the vaccine, these are the best results in the world in this direction.
The exhibition can be visited on January 21-22 from 10 AM until 5:30 PM. Admission is free.
At the moment, BSU scientists are working to obtain proteins for cell therapy to fight cancer and autoimmune diseases.
