New social and humanitarian disciplines will appear in Belarusian universities

The Ministry of Education is introducing an experimental program of several social and humanitarian disciplines, BELTA writes. First-year students of all directions in all universities of Belarus will study Modern political economy, Philosophy and History of the Belarusian statehood.

The pilot program is being introduced for the 2022/2023 academic year. During the year, the content of the disciplines will be adjusted. Modern political economy will help students to form an understanding of the essence of social, economic and political phenomena in Belarusian society and the world under the influence of internal political and economic factors.

The History of the Belarusian statehood combines knowledge on the history of Belarus, sociology, pedagogy, political economy, ideology. The updated Philosophy course shortens the subject of the history of philosophy and pays more attention to theoretical philosophy in its modern interpretations.
