New waste recycling facility opened in the Minsk region

A solid municipal waste sorting station has opened near the village of Sinilo in the Minsk region. Its capacity is 15 thousand tons per year, Sputnik reported. Over 3 years, the volume of automobile emissions into the atmosphere of Minsk has decreased by 6%.

The total capacity of the complex is 80 thousand tons per year, and 50 jobs have been created here. In 2023-2025, it is planned to expand the station, which will expand the volume and types of raw materials received, increase the capacity to 200 thousand tons per year, and create another 50 jobs

Initially, the site was divided into two zones for mineral construction waste and waste of plant origin. It has been working since 2018, now it has been expanded.

At the moment, the complex covers an area of two hectares and includes four sites, allowing the processing of plant, wood, construction and solid municipal waste.

The result is compost, secondary crushed stone, fuel chips, plastic, paper, metal and glass.
