Only 5 private schools are left in Belarus

In August 2022, licensing for educational establishments was introduced in Belarus. This year, all public schools in the country and only 5 private ones received the licenses, Sputnik reported.

The Licensing Law, which was adopted last year, establishes uniform requirements for all schools. In addition to providing security and educational services, all schools should educate students based on the State ideology.

This year, three private schools in Minsk and two in the Minsk region from all private schools of Belarus received the licenses. The total number of students in these schools is about a thousand people. At the same time, 1.85 million people study in 2,900 public schools across the country.
