Open-air exhibition will be held in Minsk

The annual exhibition "The Artist and the City" will open on June 30 on pedestrian Kamsamolskaja street in Minsk. The exhibition will work until the end of September, CityDog.io writes. We remind you that an exhibition of works by Marc Chagall is being held in Minsk until August 28.

The eleventh season of the project will be dedicated to the work of the Hero of Belarus, People's Artist of Belarus Mikhail Savitsky. This year marks the 100th anniversary of his birth.

The exhibition will feature 34 works: 15 of them are by Mikhail Savitsky and 19 are by his students. The exhibition will also feature works by 7 contemporary Belarusian artists.

The name of Mikhail Savitsky is a landmark for Belarusian fine art. The artist's works reflect not only his personal fate, but also important historical events of the second half of the twentieth century.

In 1981, thanks to the efforts of the artist, Creative Academic Workshops of Painting, Graphics and Sculpture appeared in Minsk. Several generations of Belarusian artists have received postgraduate education here.
