Orthodox Church and Red Cross signed a cooperation agreement

The head of the Belarusian Orthodox Church has signed updated cooperation agreements with some public organizations, including the Belarusian Red Cross, Sputnik reported.

The cooperation agreement within the Orthodox Church and the Belarusian Red Cross Society was signed for the first time. Metropolitan Veniamin noted this is "a bright moment that opens up new prospects for cooperation between the Orthodox Church and the state".

Updated agreements were also signed with the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection.
