Poland and Belarus agreed on mutual social security
In the spring of 2022, the agreement on social security between Poland and Belarusentered into force. It was concluded in February 2019. The agreement protects the rights of citizens of both countries regarding the payment of pensions and allowances, devby.io wrote.
We remind you that Polish citizens can enter Belarus without a visa until the end of 2022.
The agreement means that social insurance payments will be coordinated between the two countries. These payments include pensions, unemployment allowances, sickness and maternity allowances, workplace injury payments and burial allowance.
Polish citizens will be able to apply for these payments in Belarus. The same rule works for citizens of Belarus in Poland.
The payment operator will be the country in which the application was submitted.
