Residents of Belarus opening more deposits in rubles

Since the beginning of 2023, there has been a trend of growth in the share of term deposits in Belarusian rubles. In ten months, the share has increased from 39% to 42%, Sputnik reported.

Deposits in foreign currency decreased by almost 4%.Due to the decrease in the level of foreign currency deposits, the total number of depositors decreased by about 16 thousand (by 1.6%).

The most active group of depositors are women aged 26 to 45 years. However, women aged 64 and older have more total deposits than other age groups.

Men also have the largest share of deposits in the group over 64 years old.

Soon, Belarusian banks will include new data in credit histories.
