Salaries of public sector workers will be increased for the second time in a year
First Deputy head of the Ministry of Labor Natalia Pavlyuchenko said that the increase in wages of public sector workers will occur in the 3rd quarter of 2023, Minsk-News reported.
This year, 15.6 billion Belarusian rubles are provided for salaries of employees of educational, healthcare, physical culture, sports, culture and social services, which is approximately 16% more than in 2022.
The main tool for raising salaries is a planned gradual increase in the base rate. The rate grew up at the beginning of the year. A new increase is planned for the third quarter. It was also decided to pay additional bonuses.
In a new review, analysts of the Eurasian Development Bank have identified what hinders the growth of the Belarusian economy.
