Sobolenko reached the final of the US Open

Arina Sobolenko reached the final of the US Open, beating Emma Navarro in the semifinals with a score 6:3, 7:6 (7:2), informs Belarus Today.

Before that, Sobolenko won the Cincinnati tournament and continues her winning streak, which now stands at 11 matches. Despite the greater number of unforced errors, Sobolenko surpassed her opponent in the number of winners and aces, and also implemented break points better.

In the final, she will face American Jessica Pegula. Other Belarusian tennis players, including Victoria Azarenka and Alexandra Sasnovich, dropped out of the tournament at earlier stages.
