Sociologists made a portrait of an average Belarusian woman

Sociologists have found out that more than 40% of Belarusian women have a bachelor decree. They mostly work in the healthcare and education areas, Sputnik reported.

The Permanent Coordinator of the UN in Belarus, Joanna Kazana-Wisniowiecki, said that the level of women's participation in the political life of the country is higher than in most countries of Europe and Central Asia.

The average age of women in Belarus is 43.3 years. Most of them are also married. At the same time, almost 80% of women live in cities.

At the beginning of 2022, more than 4.9 million women lived in Belarus, which is 53.8% of the total population. There are 1,163 women per 1,000 men now.
