The COVID-19 vaccine for animals is going to be produced in Belarus

The production of the "Karnivak-Kov" vaccine from COVID-19 for animals can be organized in Belarus. The Rosselkhoznadzor and the management of the Belarusian company "BelVitunifarm" held negotiations on this project, belta.by reports.

The head of the department Yulia Melano said, that the maximum volume of production of the vaccine on the basis of the Federal Center for Animal Health Protection is 3 million doses per month. And this completely covers the demand that is there. However, interest in the Russian vaccine from other countries is growing noticeably and the additional site for the production of the medicine can be organized on the basis of the biological industry enterprise "BelVitunifarm".

The sides also discussed the possibility of producing a test system for detecting the causative agent of a new coronavirus infection in animals on the Belarusian platform.
