The first Belarusian woman cosmonaut selected

Belavia flight attendant Marina Vasilevskaya will be the first Belarusian woman cosmonaut to go to the ISS, Minsk-News reported.

Oleg Novitsky has been appointed commander of the spacecraft for the mission. NASA astronaut Caldwell Dyson Tracy will be an onboard engineer.

The reserve team, includes astronaut Ivan Wagner, Belarusian Anastasia Lenkova and NASA astronaut Pettit Donald Roy.

The planned date of the mission is September 5, 2024.

Earlier, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus developed a program, according to which Marina Vasilevskaya will work.
