The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus handed a note of protest to the Ukrainian ambassador
On November 26, 2020, the Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Belarus Igor Kizim was called to a meeting by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, reports the press center of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus.
The Ukrainian diplomat was handed a note of protest in connection with the “continuous series of anti-Belarusian actions against the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in Ukraine”. Also, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus demanded to ensure the security of the diplomatic mission at an appropriate level in accordance with the norms of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations of April 18, 1961.
In addition, the Ukrainian ambassador was told that the Republic of Belarus expects a reaction from the Ukrainian side and an investigation of the situations brought up for discussion.
The subject of the meeting was mass protests near the building of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in Kiev.
