Two Belarusian tennis players entered semi-finals of Australian Open

For the first time, two Belarusian tennis players will play in the semifinals of the Australian Open. Victoria Azarenka and Arina Sobolenko are among the four semi-finalists, BelTA reported.

Sobolenko defeated Croatian tennis player Donna Vekic, who is 64th in the WTA rankings. In the semifinal match, Sobolenko's opponent will be Polish tennis player Magda Linette.

Yesterday Victoria Azarenka beat the third racket of the planet, American Jessica Pegula.

In the updated WTA ranking, Sobolenko takes 5th place, Azarenka is in 25th place.
