Vatican will issue a stamp in honor of 30th anniversary of relations with Belarus

The Vatican's Numismatics Department is going to launch a stamp dedicated to the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations with Belarus, Sputnik reported. Let us remind you that Belarus will cooperate with the Pan-African Parliament.

The stamp depicts the coat of arms of the Vatican and the coat of arms of Belarus. They are located on the pages of an open book, with an inscription in Italian under it. The postage stamp will cost 1.25 euros.

Diplomatic relations between Belarus and the Vatican started on November 11, 1992. The anniversary stamp will appear on November 16, 2022. In total, the Vatican will issue eight new stamps this year, which are dedicated to various events in the life of Catholics.

According to Sputnik, Catholics are the second largest religious denomination in Belarus. According to the official population census, about 18% of the country's religious population refers to it.
