WHO is pleased with cooperation with Belarus

The World Health Organization is pleased with the cooperation with Belarus, WHO representative in Belarus Sergey Diorditsa said on Wednesday, Sputnik reported. May we remind you that 6.4 million people in Belarus completed a full course of vaccination against COVID-19.

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus met with the new representative of WHO. The parties discussed the state and prospects for the development of cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and the World Health Organization.

Particular attention was paid to the issue of using WHO's potential to improve the Belarusian model of healthcare. Belarus already has a positive experience of cooperation with WHO for the dissemination of Belarusian medical developments in other countries. We are talking about developments in the diagnosis and treatment of tuberculosis, the fight against HIV/AIDS, reducing child mortality.

The WHO representative noted the high trust placed in Belarus, which was elected to the WHO Executive Committee for 2021-2024.
