Belarusian businesses hope that price regulation will be a temporary measure
Since October 6, the Government of Belarus has banned raising prices for all services and goods in the country. However, Belarusian businesses hope that price regulation will be a temporary measure, said the Head of the Business Union of Entrepreneurs, Sputnik reported.
The Head added that a meeting on economic security had recently been held. Representatives of the business community noted that there should be a single approach to price formation throughout the country. Now in some areas there is a double price regulation.
The Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation should develop a new procedure for price regulation by October 20. Now prices in the country are fixed as of October 5. They can be raised only with the permission of the authorities.
