Belarusian candidates for space flight successfully passed medical examination

Today, the Russian Cosmonaut Training Center hosted a meeting of the main medical commission, which approved all six Belarusian candidates for a flight to the ISS, Sputnik reported.

The Medical Commission issued permits to continue further training to all six Belarusian candidates. A cosmonaut who will fly to the ISS from Belarus will be chosen at the beginning of 2023.

Recently it became known that the first Belarusian cosmonaut will be a woman. She will fly to the ISS as part of the Russian team in September 2023.

She will also study life support technologies for long-term space flights.
