In 2022, the profit of Belarusian banks increased by 57.6%, Minsk-News reported. The National Bank may also reduce refinancing rates as inflation slows.

In 2021, the annual profit of banks across the country amounted to 1.331 billion Belarusian rubles. In 2022, the profit reached 2.097 billion rubles.

EDB forecasts the decline in Belarus' GDP to slow down in the spring and to grow by the summer.
