Russia allocated $300 million to Belarus for import substitution

The Prime Ministers of Belarus and Russia held talks in Moscow on November 3. As a result of the meeting, the amount that will be required for the implementation of import substitution projects was determined — $1.5 billion. These credit resources will be used for the implementation of seven projects worth $300 million, Sputnik reports.

These are projects in the industrial sector, mainly in the automotive industry, where a high proportion of imported components. Their task is to localize components for the Russian and Belarusian market.

Let us remind you that Belarus and Russia have also signed an agreement on the transit of Belarusian goods through the territory of Russia.
