Effectiveness of vaccines against the "omicron-ninja" strain

On August 9, the first case of the "omicron-ninja" strain was confirmed in Minsk's laboratory. However, all coronavirus vaccines available in Belarus are effective against this strain, Minsk-News reported.

According to the head of the hygiene department of the Ministry of Health, a booster dose of the coronavirus vaccine will help prevent complications after the disease. Also, all the drugs that are currently used for vaccination are effective against this strain. In our article, you can get all the info on drugs that are used for vaccination in Belarus.

Currently the Ministry of Health is also working on issues regarding the intranasal vaccine. Perhaps it will be used for children under 5 years old. The Cuban vaccine Soberana Plus, recently registered in Belarus, can be considered as a drug.

Doctors report that the "omicron ninja" is spreading faster. The course of the disease is similar to that observed when infected with other versions of omicron: the severity is mild or moderate.
