Price growth slowed down in April – June

Consumer prices in June increased by 13% compared to December. However, the price growth slowed down significantly compared to the first quarter of 2022, BELTA writes. We remind you that retirement pensions and child allowances will be increased from August.

The government resolution adopted on April 7 helped to slow down inflation. The resolution contains all the requirements for price regulation by the state. The increase in prices for a number of goods should not exceed 1.2% compared to last month. Price regulation for socially significant goods is also provided. Such measures help to prevent unjustified speculative price increases.

Also, the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and representatives of large retail chains signed an agreement on discounts on socially important goods for vulnerable categories of the population in January. Recently we wrote that the discount will be increased from 10% to 15%.
