Lithuania compiled a sanctions list of Belarusians
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania has presented a list of 118 Belarusians against whom the sanctions will be applied. This list also includes Alexander Lukashenko.
The head of the European Council cannot contact Lukashenko
An extraordinary meeting of the Committee on foreign affairs was held in the European Parliament. During the meeting, the parliamentarians shared their positions on the introduction of sanctions against the Belarusian authorities.
On the 23rd of August, over 50,000 Lithuanians formed a chain of solidarity with Belarusians. The Path of Freedom stretched from Vilnius to the border with Belarus.
How do Belarusians help people who were fired because of the protests?
During the day, volunteers distribute food to participants in protests, and in the evenings they deliver food to families whose members were fired from their jobs due to participation in strikes and were left without wages.
